Child and Family

We work together to explore your child's difficulties, focusing not just on their experience but also on their environment and their relationships with others. None of us exist in a bubble, and either does your child. By working in this systemic way we can help you and your child make a meaningful impact.

At the heart of our work is the belief that you and your child already have the ability to overcome any difficulty. Our work together is about giving you and your child the additional skills and confidence to do this.

Our work always involves an initial assessment of the problem, and then some simple and clear psycho-education for you and your child.

From there depending on you and your child's needs, we may undertake a more in-depth assessment (Story work) or continue to a direct intervention (Journey work).

Regardless of the approach we will utilise specialist and evidenced based strategies (with a fun and playful style) to help develop new approaches and responses to problems. 

We can also link in with other professionals as appropriate/required, such as schools or GPs.
